THE REAL RENEE
Renee spent her youth growing up near Pasadena in a town called Rosemead. In 1991, Renee’s
family packed their bags and headed north to Santa Rosa. Renee recalls, “I thought my life was
going to end due to the lack of activities that I was used to in Southern California. My
first trip to Goat Rock was a shock to my system. I couldn't figure out why anyone
would go to the beach up here; it's cold, windy and you can't get in the water or
play beach volleyball!” But we are happy to say Renee overcame that sentiment
and fell in love with Sonoma County’s charm, declaring, “Now, I cannot imagine
living anywhere else in the world!”
When Renee’s not working, you can find her spending time with her husband,
Joe, on their 40-acre ranch in Geyserville - complete with chickens, goats,
honey bees, a vineyard and two Rottweilers. The dynamic duo love to
garden, workout, and spend time watching the goats clear land -
“It's fun! I swear!” Renee exclaims.
Renee has a true passion for eating right and being healthy. “You don't have anything
if you don't have your health,” she affirms. Enjoying Sonoma County's bounty of fresh veggies and locally raised meats, Renee uses her enthusiasm for gardening and healthy eating in conjunction with her love of cooking stating, “I love eating the food we grow and knowing where my food comes from.” – And you haven’t tasted true goodness until you’ve tried Renee’s pizza from her pizza oven!
Renee is a proud supporter of many local charitable organizations including the Healthcare Foundation, YWCA, Sonoma County Farm Bureau, Council on Aging, American Heart Association, Sunny Hills Services, The Food Pantry, American Association of University Women, North Bay Children's Center, and Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation. Renee explains, “I strongly believe in giving back and helping others, especially the less fortunate.”
