Renee Mengali Named as 2018 Women In Business Winner

Renee Mengali was announced as a 2018 winner of the prestigious NBBJ Women in Business award. The NBBJ received a record number of 70 nominations this year, of which only 15 recipients were selected by the editorial staff. Winners are chosen based on many factors including leadership roles in the organization, business-related innovations, vision, and community involvement.

Renee’s impressive background easily reflects why she was chosen as a deserved winner of the award. Aside from being a leading professional in her field, Renee is an active member of her community, serving as the President of the Sonoma County YWCA Board of Directors, a past Chair for the Healdsburg Chamber of Commerce, a former Treasurer of the Windsor Boys and Girls Club, a current Council Member of the Boys and Girls Club of Sonoma County, and an Advisory Committee Member for Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation. Renee is also a recipient of the Spirit of Sonoma award and a past NBBJ Forty Under 40 winner.

Initially established in 2000 by two local women business leaders, the Women in Business Awards continues to be focused on supporting women in the workplace and recognizing their achievements. As quoted by the Journal, “It is our sincere hope that these awards have contributed on the margins to making the North Bay a better place for women to achieve their professional and personal goals. And we remain committed to doing so in the years ahead.”

The Women in Business winners were honored at a hosted awards gala at the Hyatt Regency in Santa Rosa on June 28, 2018.
