ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF FAMILY OFFICE SERVICES
Christina joined the Mengali Accountancy Team in 2019 with 6 years of experience in the accounting field. From the time Christina started her first job at age 15, she has learned to balance her career, education and pursuits. “I feel I am most productive when I am busy and enjoy a challenge to succeed in multiple areas while mastering my time management skills.” She affirms and admits that she loves to teach and pass these skills on to others so they too can be better organized and more efficient.
Prior to joining Mengali Accountancy, Christina spent 3 years at another accountancy corporation in Santa Rosa as their Office Manager / Tax Preparer / Bookkeeper. Her role there specialized in all aspects of client contact where she ultimately found her niche in taxes, helping clients with tax issues such as responding to IRS notices, preparing Offer in Compromises, and Audit Representation. Christina’s background also includes sales experience in the beverage industry. Additionally, Christina has worked at Santa Rosa Gymnastics Center on and off for 12 years confirming, “It was my first job and I still work there!”
Christina confirms what she loves most about working in the accounting field is
being able to provide a talent and service that allows her clients the time to focus on doing what they do best in their own respective industries. “The best feeling is when a client tells me how thankful they are for me and that they ‘wouldn't know what to do without me’,” she confesses and adds, “It makes me prideful in the work I am doing and the reputation I am building not only for myself but for Mengali, as well.”
Christina graduated from the Santa Rosa Junior College in 2012 with an Associates Degree in Marketing and became a Certified Bookkeeper through Sonoma State University in 2019. In addition, Christina is a QuickBooks Online Pro Advisor and TSheets Pro Advisor. She is currently studying for her IRS Enrolled Agent exams.
Christina has been an active California Notary Public since 2016.
THE REAL CHRISTINA
“Christina originally grew up in Petaluma but then moved to Santa Rosa at the age of 12 when her dad
relocated there for a new job. Christina remained in Santa Rosa throughout middle
school and high school and, to this day, she still calls beautiful wine country her
home. “I love the area - it still maintains its small-town roots while also expanding
and adapting to the fast-paced bustle of the Bay Area. It has the best views, the
best food, and the best wine!” She expresses.
When Christina is not busy working at Mengali Accountancy, or for herself,
you can most likely catch her at the gym, wine tasting, reading
motivational books, listening to podcasts, or enjoying a day at the lake
or beach. “My favorite place to vacation is Lake Tahoe - it's beautiful
and being near water centers me when I am stressed or need a break.”
She reveals and adds, “I also love going to Disneyland - I've been
over a dozen times!”
Christina is passionate about financial independence, especially for
women. “I feel that there is a huge need for young women (and men) to be taught how finances work - credit cards, home loans, credit scores, etc.” She explains. Christina’s ambition is to develop a class that covers all these financial basics and teach it to local high school and college students and confirms, “My goal in life is to inspire other young women to go after their dreams and to aspire to be the best versions of themselves they can possibly be.”
You may be surprised to learn that Christina was a competitive gymnast for 10 years and a competitive cheerleader for 6 years. Christina continued with her love for gymnastics by coaching the sport for 12 years. Christina also admits an obsession of hers is her “fur child”, a 5 ½ year old yellow lab named Grader. “I love him more than anything in the whole world.” She confesses.
Additionally, Christina regularly donates to the Wounded Warrior Project, a program that supports injured veterans and service members, and The Mary Kay Foundation, a program dedicated to helping victims of domestic violence and researching cancers that effect women. Christina also volunteers each year with Redwood Gospel Mission to feed the homeless during the holiday season.”
